Unfortunately the 30 series is way more expensive here than the 20 series brand new. Want a 3080? Then expect to shell out 300 dollars more than a 2080ti. Its really sad and is the one primary reason why I wanna move to the states. Shit is more reasonably priced there than here.

A used 2080TI should be AT MAX 300$. Why? Well a NEW 3070 is gonna be 500 USD and is about as powerful - soooo that's WITH 2 years warranty and new architecture.... meaning 300$ is actually a bit high - so that's why I am saying MAX! ..... which means the stack has basically collapse making a 2060 a 100$ card used at max and a 2070 150-200 ish worth. Anything more and you are screwing yourself... just you wait and see in a month or 2 - and don't forget the "Big Navi" launch is coming really soon - which will only do more to collapse the stack! (yeah the 2060 and the 2070 super is included. With the performance bump from the 500$ new in box card, the minor upgrade from the normal to the super cards is really just a footnote. Maybe deduct 10-20$ from the price for the non-super versions.) ..... Also a GTX 1660 should be a 50-75$ card within a few months - so be ready budget gamers - cause you are gonna be able to build a pretty nice PC for a few hundred $ in a few months!

Hi,first off dont get me wrong,i know not every one can afford new MB so they go second hand but still... MB is worst part with much more things could go wrong than any other PC part and literaly imposible to check properly for every thing that you could buy second hand,i would rather buy any MB new rather than any second hand. GPU sure yes its a risk but more or les easy to check,CPU same,RAM.. etc . every thing except of MB is atleat 50-50% that it will work and much les things to go wrong with it. I would say MB not worth of risk.. and yes i know bad english sorry...

When i sold my 480 used, i messaged the buyer to ensure that it worked for him. Sadly his computer was too old to run the GPU lol, so that wasn't my problem. When i bought my 590 used, I asked the question, why are you selling it? His answer was good for me, Bought it new decided to go with a 55-5600xt. when i bought it he had it in the box, let me open it and check it out. Told me, it ran warm, other than that was a decent GPU. Now for the run warm part, it was probably two things, Fan curve and case. It does run warm but tweaking the fan curve and etc i managed to get it too run cooler. Also he told me to message him to ensure i didn't have any issues and etc. 3-4 months later the 590 is still running awesome. I bought a 2200G used, not sure how that cpuis because i haven't built up a computer around it yet :D Like jay said in the first 5 mins if someone seems sketchy about the deal... walk away.

I think either the price will be higher than what console players are use to paying or the performance will match a lower price. I personally believe that these console will come in at around 800 - 900. This is probably why console haven't released their pricing. They are just selling the specs. The price will be high. The other reason that they have not launched the price is probably because of the recession that the pandemic has caused. If it is almost double what you have paid in the past you will probably make up your mind to not buy it at launch due to the economy, etc. Its a great marketing scheme but it won't work as well as they think it would.

If I am not wrong, I think that for the GPU you should ask to do a benchmark (maybe in the same video that the seller shows you the card running and the serial number) I think that some cards could run ok at idle and just bug or shut down under load.

I can see where it would could be aggravating to some, but I have a hard time getting mad at a company that takes advantage of people's impatience for something that's just a huge "want.". Do people really "need" a new 3080? You could always just wait for the next batch to come out. Like others have pointed out - this isn't a limited edition thing. You'd be amazed how fast the resellers would stop doing this if there's no profit in it.

Dont buy a pre-build system, even not when you are choosing the parts they have to put in. Why? Because they will actually try to fraude people with putting something less powerfull in there, and when you wouldn’t check, you wouldve overpay. I paid for a intel i7 9700K, i received a i7 9700F, it may not be a huuge difference (still the overclock doesnt work on the f series), and only got 50€ cashback, or i had to send it back, they would actually adjust it like I actually paid for. And when you get a pre-build, go check it all! Don’t act like; they know what they are doing since you never know which idiot has trown with the gear being in that pc right now. ** Why did I not return? Normally that pre-build pc wouldve be delivered in max 2 weeks and it took them 5 weeks. Succes guys and girls

@JayzTwoCents Please do a video on Fuzedrive system vs just a standard m.2 ssd, factor in the cost and everything, I think a lot more people could not be moaning about not having space for gamse if they just bought a larger hdd, a smaller m.2 ssd and fuzed that shit together with fuzedrive ( I have a 4tb drive that preforms like a WD black 1TB nvme m.2 3,400/2,800 read/write) I still went pretty overkill ngl but someone who just wants to buy a 1tb nvme, could probably just grab a 128gb/500gb nvme a much large HDD (or just a sata ssd with a large size, then pair that shit with a cheap ass 2tb 5400rmp drive, install everything on one drive and have everything launch as if directly on the ssd (even if only like 5gb out of 50gb is tiered to the SSD (it's amazing) more people like you and linus and stuff need to talk about it

Decent coverage on the mining aspects. GPU mining since 2016 mainly has concentrated on Ethereum which is core light (we actually underclock the core a bunch) and overclock the memory heavy where it can. The primary impact will be around memory artifacting if anything and will be primary around GTX 1060 - 1070's and Radeon 470, 480, 570, 580s, Vega 56 & 64. Latest generation used heavy by GPU miners are nVidia 1660Ti and Radeon RX 5600XT, 5700, 5700XT respectfully. A good majority of the Radeon VII's are used in mining also as their Ethereum hashrate with the 16GB of HBM2 clocked right with timing puts out mid 90's Etash hashrate.

I used to build my own system, and it was AMD. I had a laptop which was AMD. Now, as I'm typing, it's on an i5 laptop from 2012. I've never had any issue. No, I'm not saying Intel is better, but for a guy who needs to "work", I'd prefer reliability over performance. In fact I'm looking for a new laptop, and the Ryzen 7 series laptops look interesting. However, I'm not into gaming or video, at most is PhotoShop and Illustrator for packaging/identity designs. Should I move on to Ryzen or stick with Intel, then?

Advice from someone working a lot with used hardware: be patient: it often pays out well to wait for a good deal be confident: having assembled dozens of systems allready from used parts, the only broken part I ever got was a defect 560ti, got the 17 bucks back from seller without any discussion be carefull: if a deal sounds waaaaay to good to be true... mostly thats because it is ^^ on mobos: ALLWAYS reset the BIOS after you got them, if they had their CPU run at absurdly high voltages, yours might die from it first start (there are more rasons to reset BIOS as well) ebay exclusive: watch for auctions wich end at odd / unusual times... got a really hot bid on a laptop just because I got up saturday 8am and allways remember to be kind and fair, if you expect a good product, they can expect a good price.... if you try to lowball every last penny out of it, the lowkick is what you might get when that sweet 2080 dies after 2 days :P

Most miners run at 70% of power limit and run fans at 50-60%. Not a huge risk. Yes, you may need to replace fans, but they are cheap and mostly easy to replace. Also most miners replace thermal paste regularly and take care of their cards. I know I game and mine on my card part-time, but I'm not selling it, and would never buy up all the cards to mine on. I'm a gamer first and a miner second.

Being in the business; bad dimm slots, bad memory dimms and faulty HDDs are most common. Also, I've seen bulging, leaky or ruptured capacitors (especially in older motherboards and video cards) and a couple of dead CPUs. Fixing brent pins on a CPU is generally easier to fix than on a motherboard. They can both be a pain. You will not likely run into a lapped heat spreader but it's something to know about. Also don't be afraid to ask buyer questions on sites like eBay. If you don't get a response within a few days you may want to reconsider buying from them as you may not get a response if something goes wrong either. Moar hash browns...
